A Bit About Me
I make a range of tableware and sculptural pieces. All my work is made with stoneware and porcelain clay and glazes, wheel-thrown or hand built, fired to 1240 °C, so is very tough, dish-washer and microwave safe and can be used in the garden too as, being vitreous, it is frost resistant.
My work is on sale at seasonal markets, local galleries, open days and during h-Art open studios. I have an Etsy shop (link at top of page). I undertake commissions too, so please get in touch.
I’ve always loved using my hands. After studying Fine Art (Sculpture) BA Hons, specialising in ceramics, I helped establish a pottery making stoneware tableware, and went on to run a pottery where we made all our own clays and glazes, fired in a gas kiln large enough to walk inside!
Over the years I’ve also been teaching all ages, farming, and raising our two children. Now I spend my time in my studio in Much Birch, just south of Hereford, continuing to develop my own work, teaching weekly pottery classes and courses. I am inspired by nature in all her small details, the passing seasons and elements. At the moment I am working on rhythms in nature.
