The perfect way to relax and create
Weekly pottery classes
Try your hand at hand-building and thrown pottery. Each week a new skill will be demonstrated and you will have a chance to practice and develop your own work, taking turns on the wheels and hand building, developing new skills and confidence as you practice and improve. These classes are suitable for beginners and experienced potters alike. You will be guided through each stage of the different processes to enable you to create really beautiful work.
Classes are limited to six students, which works well as everybody gets plenty of time on the wheels, as well as clay preparation, hand-building and finishing pots made the previous week, handle-making and trimming, and pot decoration.
There is one Leach kick wheel and two electric wheels. Each week includes demonstrations and plenty of individual tuition and guidance in individual projects.
Classes are on:
Tuesday mornings (9.15 - 11.45) and
Wednesday evening ( 6.30 - 9.00)
The time allows for an hour's work, a tea break, another hour's work and then cleaning up.
